Very nice build. I'm considering buying this kit, and your video has been very informative. I even learned a couple of tricks from your 2-part series! One point of education: On a helicopter, they're called rotors, not propellers. :)
Would you recommend this model to the average modeller that just likes doing out of the box builds.
Yes, it would be easy to build if you’re not doing what I did.
@seanerk5kt9 OK, thanks for the reply. It has just helped in my decision whether to get it or not.
Love the list!
You sell these dude?
😢😢 lastima que el resultado final es hermoso solo si alguien profesional y con la herramienta adecuada lo hace, yo lo hize y quedó hecho una porquería 😥😥☹️
You did an Amazing Job on it looks Fantastic ... I just ordered the 1/18 huey to build now because how yours came out got me wanting to order a harrier next
Great work
Nice work mate! ✈️👍🇳🇿
Did you know that MicroMark sells a raised rivet detail kit? I haven't used it but I've seen it in their catalog. Secondly, why sell it on eBay? Why not keep it? What did it end up selling for?
In relation to these specific Tomcats, I wonder about the walkways. I had never noticed the walkways being that colour, which makes me wonder if the started off like that (though I don't think so), or became weathered, or if there was just a batch of F-14s with that colour walkways. Interesting.
The weathering on the rear underside and exhausts is awesome.
Que incrível!
Nice weathering. Looks great. What kind of clear coat you have upon applying those oils? Gloss, semi-goss or flat? What brand?
..or rather used to.
Good to see the F14 with one engine exhaust open as that is often how they leave them on deck so they can move them around easily. You have done your homework!
I see you made the tanks to about 7 inches in length how wide is the tanks
Tamiya XF22 is extremely close to the original German Luftwaffe RLM02 paint colour
I can’t begin to explain the great techniques you have demonstrated for all types of builds, especially this one. This is my go to for tutorials and used your technique on my walkways on all my models now. This set of Fightertown Decals are so hard to come by and I’ve even emailed Brian Pleschia at Fightertown with no reply to get this set somehow. So, I’m gonna ask you. Would you please be able to spare the decals for TOPGUN Tomcat 30?? I grew up with (then) LCDR Beaman’s kids and his wife was my high school vice principal and want to build his jet. I can pay you for them or if this is not what you want to do, would you be able to point in me the direction as to how I can obtain these decals? Once again, thank you for posting your techniques and have you ever considered being a contributor to Fine Scale Modeler to get your techniques out to a broader audience? Thanks again for your time and please keep the videos coming.
I’ve got 3-4 leftover sets I can send you, just email me at seanerk@hotmail.com.
FYI, 5 years too late, the mirrors on the engine nacelles are for checking to see that the landing gear had lowered before the final approach to the runway. Really liked how well the kit turned out. Everyone who has built tells me that it is a tough build. 👍💯
Could live without the gross coffee slurp!
Yeah, the coffee slurp triggers some of my more feminine and emotionally fragile viewers.
excellent!👌
Great Job Sir. Now you need to build her a sister 😅
love that plane too. just bought the kit right now. thats why i'm here :) nice review
Une réalisation Top ++++ Beaucoup de travail pour un t-elle niveau !!! @+ Philippe Gérard Aviateur 😉
Man I Iove this! What kit is it? 1/48 or 1/32? Thanks Cheers!
Thanks for the great tip! Seams are the thing I hate most. I tried the technique you offered and it definitely is a winner. Thanks a lot!
Really nice techniques there! Very helpful tutorial! Thanks for sharing!
How much for a commissioned model the same?
$10,000
@@seanerk5kt9 wow I didn't expect it to be so much
Yeah I hear ya. I don’t really want to build another cause it was so labor intensive and time consuming. It’d take me between 200-300 hrs to build. I actually did this one for a friend of mine for free but he ended up giving me $500 because he felt bad it took me so long.
@@seanerk5kt9 I really hope your friend took care of you later on. This build is absolutely amazing and by far one of the best AV-8B examples I’ve seen in any scale. The $10,000 price tag is a bit steeper than I was hoping to pay, but if you ever feel the desire to build another please let me know. I’m looking to commission a 1/18 AV-8B build to centerpiece a room. Or if you have a recommendation that builds to the quality in this video, I’m all ears. Bravo again for this build, love it!
Much better with weathering
Great job !! Looks amazing😊😊😊
Getting this very soon thanks for your amazing video 😊😊😊
Phenomenal! I wish I had you talent and skill.
How can I get one of your shirts?
Were you able to find reference photos for the top of the wings for 210? Or did you just try to match similar airframes? I'm looking to do the same one and having trouble finding anything from the top.
If I remember right, I didn’t either so I just guessed
@@seanerk5kt9 It turned out great! I guess I will do the same.
I’m trying to cut 1 1/2 acrylic rod😂😂
What a beautiful machine !!
How can I physically get a hold of you and talk to you? I would love to pick your brain on display basis.
Wow , fantastic work
Building a B-26 dropping bombs and don't necessarily want to hang it from the ceiling.....perfect solution!!! Thank you for sharing your techniques!!
I love this stuff gives me ideas on how I want to set up my new room
Have this kit in my stash. Hope I can do half as good a job as yours.
Great Job Sean, very realistic finish, really like the pigment on the exhausts, I’ll put that one in the modelling bank and give it a try sometime 👍👏👏
Good evening Thank you for this video. It makes me want to get this model. I would like to know if you can make the canopy cable out of vinyl like you? THANKS See you soon Yann
Very good work my friend. I like to ask top modelers about their choices so I can adapt my own to new ones I like, I have only one question: why not use some exposure of your Mr Surfacer gray primer as evidence of wear? Was the Msurfacer just for texture?
Awesome Build Dude
Very nice video!! which usaf roundels did you use for the kit?
Stunning work. Im going to build this kit next so this video is going to help out a lot. Thank you Just a question, why mix tamiya paints if other brands do produce these colours?
I didn’t want to buy paint as I already have lots of Tamiya paint
Good work! But really should cut out the liquid drinking sound🤢 disgusting!!
Very good work and Tks! But why the Disgusting coffee drinking sound! Why??😂
I’m sorry ma’am…my coffee drinking does offend some of my more feminine viewers.
